I would like to introduce you to the latest member of our family...
Her name is New York. We found her today, outside, when we were getting ready to go to lunch. She came over, about ten feet away from us and let out a huge squawk, as if we were just ruining her day.
She then proceeded to squawk on and on and on. We thought maybe she was hurt, so I went over and checked her, no sign of damage or injury, gums pink and healthy, eyes bright, no discharge, no unusual smells, just thin and screaming.
And very loving.
Clearly she was starved for both food and human affection, because one of the neighbors came out with some crunchies, and she didn't know if she should eat, or let me pet her. And the entire time she ate, she made these squawky, purry, chirpy noises.
I can't resist a cat. I can't resist a vocal cat.
Soooo, she's inside. Yeah, I've got to get her professionally checked out, I know, and I'll get to work on that soon. But for now... well, let's hope it all works out.
Chrissy seems to be surprised at her. Goten, on the other hand, is absolutely terrified. I wonder if she's an alpha cat? She's been in the house only a few hours, and all ready she's strolling about like she's the HBIC. With the yelling, the drama attitude, and the general bitchiness, we figured the name New York fit her like a glove.
Sooo, now our family is five, rather than four.
