They did the echocardiagram (sp?). All blood tests show no sign of heart attack (That noise you heard around 12:00 p.m. EST was my cheer of relief at that news) He's waiting to find out about thyroid. They don't think that's very likely.
He does not have pnemonia. This is good news too.
He's having part 1 of the stress test done right now. They shot dye into him, and now they'll check to see if anything in his heart is clogged. Tomorrow, he'll have part two of that test, where they will make him leap around on a tredmill like a flea on crack to see if anything shows up under "Stress" conditions.
I offered to go down and nag him to see how well he handled stress, which made the doctor laugh.
They promised both of us that first thing tomorrow morning, Todd will be going for the second part of his test. Should that turn out all right, along with everything else and it'll be dismissed as "one of those things" and he can go home. If they find anything clogged, then he'll go in for surgery tomorrow. I know what it's called that they'll do, but I'll be dipped if I can spell it correctly, so I won't even try.
Thanks everyone who's been sending us their best. It means a lot to me, and to Todd. *Hugs* to all of you.
I'm holding it together, all things considering. I just hope he's home tomorrow.
I'm cheered by the fact that he and his roommate were prowling the halls of the hospital last night, driving the nurses a bit crazy. I'm cheered because if he's feeling good enough to be a charming little pain in the ass, then he probably is not dying. On the other hand though, I'm having a basket of muffins made up at the bakery to take in tonight for the night nurses as a way of saying, "Thanks for not poking them with a sharp stick!"
Goten, meanwhile, insists on gluing himself to my side when I'm home and not leaving. He even slept right beside me last night, Chrissy at my feet. Of course, he woke up to bite me a couple times, too, but even that made me feel a little better.
I'm going to take a nap. Sleep didn't come very easily last night and while I was in bed for a good eight hours, it was on again, off again, tossing and turning sort of rest/sleep, not real sleep.
I'll be visiting him tonight.
Again, thanks for all the best wishes and all such. You people absolutely rock.
